What a wonderful sense of luxury! I felt this robe in a gift shop on Jekyll Island and purchased it for my daughter. She’s getting married in a few months and I could not think of a better purchase – it will last a lifetime and will always look great – I will be purchasing 2 others in the near future – one for my other daughter and one for myself!

Great birthday present –
My mother loved her robe, said it was soft and wonderful, felt like she was in a spa. I live abroad so I can’t tell how it looks on, but my guess is a robe this thick won’t have such a sexy drape as a lighter one, but if you are looking for comfort, this is a nice option. I’ve heard about Zappos’ famous customer service and it’s true; maybe because I was a first time customer my order was upgraded to overnight shipping and mom get it the next day. It was on-time for her birthday, a first for me! I just wish Zappos could ship to Berlin so I could shoe-shop for myself, too. Thanks Zappos, you rock!

My husband loves it and he’s hard to please!
I ordered this in the middle of the night after my husband had a five bypass emergency heart surgery. It arrived quickly, size 2 fits well (he’s 5’9″ weighs 190 lbs), and my mother-in-law couldn’t stop touching it! I was worried it wouldn’t be masculine enough, but it’s perfect. I washed it in woolite and dried on low-temp; it came out great with no shrinkage or fuzzies. Well worth the money.

Men’s Barefoot Dreams Robe –
I purchased this for my husband – having the womens version and loving it. This is definitely not unisex and is tailored for men vs. the womens robe. The womens runs very large and roomy with extra long sleeves that are rolled and more of a wrap. I purchased the size 2 for my husband and would say this runs slightly small. He’s very slim and it fits great but would suggest sizing one up. The sleeve length is good, but not long and it ‘just wraps’ vs. the roomy fit of the womens version. Great fabric, slightly nubbier weave then the womens. Has an odd smell when you take it out of the plastic, but it goes away after a few days.
This is a very warm robe – like being in a blanket and doesn’t absorb water like terry robes. It’s very light weight but primarily a winter only or cold day robe.

So when the first wears out eventually, I have a backup. This robe fit me well, but wouldn’t fit around a large person. It is so luxurious, so soft, so warm! (Not a hot weather robe) I wish I could wear it twenty four hours/day, no joke.

BOOO! I had this robe from 2003-2013 and it was great. Finally had to replace it as it was getting sort of mildew-smelling. Immediately after getting a new one I could tell the quality was poorer. The material was not as substantial. And then pretty soon the seams started falling apart. I contacted the company I bought it from (not Zappos) and was told the warranty would not apply because the robe “either has been washed in harsh detergent or overdried”. WHAT? I only washed this thing with Tide on the gentle cycle. The same way I washed my previous one for 10 years without a problem. And it is a ROBE. You’re telling me I have to wash a robe with kid gloves? Clearly I have been spoiled by Zappos customer service as I am quite sure if I had purchased from them and had this problem they would have remedied it instead of blaming the customer. (Yes, What She Buys, I’m talking to YOU!) Don’t waste money on a barefoot dreams robe. Yes, they are comfortable but not worth it when they fall apart in just a few months. And only buy things from Zappos!

Perfect Xmas gift for my mom. If you are familiar with CozyChic blankets. This thing is seriously so soft, it is a magical cloud.
Purchased Size 1 and Size 2 to compare sizes, and ended up keeping Size 1 (which aligns with the recommended size for height + weight).
