I am so happy with the Bernardo Lilly, I may buy another pair in a different color. I have a few pairs of the matrix, but was drawn to the blush color in this style. I was nervous that it would have a pink hue to it, but it doesn’t at all, it is a very natural, nude color. I just love them, and as with all Bernardo’s, they are amazingly comfortable with a slight cushion in the footbed. I think the price may be a bit shocking for a sandal, but these will last you for years. Excellent purchase!

I was hesitant about spending so much on the sandals. I even went so far as to order a different pair at a cheaper price. I ended up back here at Zappos, purchased these in black. Don’t regret it one bit. I absolutely love them! They are true to size, comfy and very well made. I expect I’ll be wearing them for years to come. My foot is a tad wide across my toes and this sandal accommodates that. My toes aren’t falling off the sides. I’m saving up for the navy and white!

Looked forever for a sandal made with no embellishments. Seems they all have rhinestones, bows, exaggerated strap width, etc. When I found these, I was so excited! A bit more than I was comfortable spending on a sandal but like I said, I’d searched forever! Once I received them, the quality was the first thing I noticed, They are very well made. I’ve worn them 6 or 8 times now with no problems at all. While I don’t wear them hiking, I cut them no slack, wearing them to work, evenings, day outings… Quite comfy and very cute. I want the navy ones next, then the red!

I have a very narrow foot and these are perfect. The sole is nicely padded for comfort and quiet walking on hard surfaces. I plan to get other colors. The platinum calf is a warm metal neutral, very pretty and versatile.

They would’ve been perfect if the toe area wasn’t so wide. I have thin feet so it looked like I was wearing paddles on my feet.

The front part of these sandals is very wide. It looks like I am wearing paddles on my feet. I have narrow feet so perhaps people with wide feet would fill that area.

As noted by others reviewers, the vertical side straps are too long (see photo). When the foot is lifted to take a step, the sandal drops down 2″ and flops around from side to side.
Vertical side straps need to be about .25 to .75 inch shorter on this sandal.
A shame, since they are beautiful shoes! Returning them.

The sandal is true to size, however, the strap/buckle area rubs terribly! Couldn’t even wear it for 5 minutes.

I’ve had several other sandals by this same maker and I’ve always liked them. This particular pair feels a bit short, not in the length of the shoe but in the length of the strap that runs between the toes. I also have the heel strap at it’s shortest hole, which is not the usual for my other shoes. In the end, I think they’ll be comfortable once I’ve worn them a few times.

The fit was perfect; however the shoe is too flimsy and lacks support. I have to buckle very tightly around the ankle to keep my heel from sliding. The shoes have to go back.

Don’t really know how comfortable they are, but they are very stylish! Unlike another review, I do not have the issue with the space as you pick up your foot. I have very narrow feet.

Unfortunately these Bernardos are just not a good fit as others have stated. They are rather floppy and loose… and in general I LOVE BERNARDOS. This is just not a well thought out style. I have returned them and will find another style.

I REALLY REALLY wanted to love these….they are exactly the style I want BUT these are just plain wide at the toes which made it feel like my foot was slipping all over the place. These might be really cute if someone needs a wider fit but for me so disappointing.

These are super cute… while you are standing still. Walking in them takes hulk toes and crossing your legs leaves the sandal hanging off your foot. But they are exactly the look I was going for so I kept them lol I am working on the hulk toes ?

These are comfortable and if you’re familiar with Bernardo sandals, you’ll probably like these. The straps are a little tight, but since they’re leather, I know they will stretch. They are completely flat, there is no arch support, and the heel is only about 1/4″ deeper than the rest of the sole. As you wear Bernardo sandals, they will mold to your feet.
I took off one star for the overall rating because they were described as having leather soles. While they seem to have a leather insole, the outsole and heel block (all 1/4″ of it!) are manmade. Other Bernardo sandals I own do have leather soles.
All in all, these are worth buying. I know from experience that Bernardos last decades if you take care of them.

Like other reviewers mentioned, the toe box is really wide and odd. I do have wide(ish) feet, but even theses are too wide. Think clown feet at the toes. Half size down and the straps are a bit tight, but at least the sandal fit a bit better. Overall, it’s an odd shape sandal and for the price, didn’t love it.
